Our red stoneware #1 pots are part of our collection of durable traditional stoneware for the garden made by hand in our studio in the Hudson Valley of New York. Inspired by traditional English planting pots and American stoneware crockery, these planter pots are designed to last through the seasons as treasured utilitarian objects that truly work. Each pot includes a drainage hole, and should be used with a saucer if indoors.
#1 pots are best for potted flower displays, like violas and pansies, centerpieces, and small edibles, like lettuce. They can also be used as part of a "potting up" process, as a mid-stage between our #1/2 starter pot and the garden or a larger planter display.
Dimensions: Approximately 7 inches in diameter including handles, or lugs, and 5.5 inches tall.
Care: Durable, but not droppable. Move pots with care and bring indoors or empty during winters below freezing.
