Three Years of the Quittner Warehouse

Three years ago, the old welding shop next to our property, Eden Hill, and only yards away from our workshop became available. We were afraid of opening a store on short notice in the middle of winter and with a young baby, but we were more afraid that a car dealer would swoop in and become our neighbor...indefinitely. That would surely spoil the view from the house that was then only a dream, so we jumped on it. In only a few weeks, we had the lease, a space to fill, and a party to plan.

Over the last three years we've welcomed thousands of people to shop, explore, and learn. We've hosted workshops, panels, talks, and happy hours. We've held dinner parties, burned fires, and redecorated constantly.

Growing up I remember walking by the small, independent stores in my town and being in awe of the idea that people had that to play around with. Like an grown-up doll house, they got to manifest their dreams into a world other people could visit. At Quittner, stretch ourselves to try things and test things and explore things, and welcome you into the midst of the (sometimes) mess. Thank you for coming along for the ride. Here are some pictures from the journey.
