The times, the times, the times they are a-changin’.
We are in a wild period of flux. Our son started a forest program
up in Chatham, so I’m at a co-working desk three days each week. The Quittner inbox has never been cleaner, and Ben and I have never worked so far apart. For most of the last 8 years, I’ve been able to yell “Lunch!” Turns out, an adult man does not typically need to be reminded to feed himself.
Without me an arms-length away throwing projects in his
direction, he’s buzzing between restorations, building out orders, directing the painters, and laying the slate for our kitchen and mudroom floors. He even got some vintage and antique lights done, which are now available. We are weeks away from officially moving, and every day a few more boxes are packed and labeled.
Thank you for supporting us during this hectic time, and for
sharing in our enthusiasm for beautiful things even when the world isn’t particularly beautiful. The sun is shining, the leaves are changing color, and the apples are ripe. Pick one, close your eyes, and take a bite. It’s still delicious, and that is itself a wonder.
Oh, and check out some lighting.
