This is a one-of-a-kind wall-mounted porcelain sconce light with in-line switch. Each of these pieces is handmade in collaboration with ceramicist Aleah Stewart-Souris, and no two pieces are exactly the same.

The Process: The body of the sconce is cast in semi-translucent porcelain. Aleah then ‘pokes’ holes, creating opportunities for light to come through. Finally, she creates the back of the sconce, which holds the bulb and is mounted to the wall, out of brown stoneware. After the pieces are delivered to Quittner, we wire the back of the scone with an E12 candelabra-style socket, light gray cloth-covered wire, and an inline switch.

Installation and Wiring: E12 candelabra-style socket, light gray cloth-covered wire, and an inline switch two feet from the bottom of the cord. Custom wire colors and styles available on request. Installed by mounting to the wall with two screws through the back of the sconce. Screws and bulb included.

Due to the handmade nature of this piece, it is entirely unique and will exhibit individualities normal to its unique nature. These are not defects and do not impact the function of the piece. Please note that this sconce is not designed to be a significant source of light in a room. The light it casts is similar to that of a candle.
