Hand-carved wood spatula for cooking and serving made of black birch. The squared end makes it perfect for flipping pancakes and sautéing vegetables.
Dimensions: 14.5 inches long
This piece was carved by Mark Power, a resident of Tivoli in the Hudson Valley of New York. He uses hardwoods local to the Hudson Valley sourced from fallen trees, and trimmings from local orchards, to create functional cookware that lasts far past a lifetime. Mark carves while the wood is green, or still fresh, using edge tools. The pieces are finished with tung oil, which is durable and food safe.
